The last Blair Castle International Horse Trials has taken place, after 35 years as Scotland’s leading equestrian event.
However, the organisers announced that “…the event in its essence has been taken on by Scone Palace so will remain in Perthshire and with many of the same people behind the scenes.”
According to their website, “…the inaugural Scone Palace International Horse Trials event takes place 21-24 August 2025, in the stunning grounds of Scone Palace and Perth Racecourse. Launched in partnership with British Eventing, this new CCI4*-L horse trials event promises to deliver four thrilling days of competition, with ambitions firmly set on becoming Scotland’s leading equestrian event. Featuring world-class riders from across Scotland, the UK and wider Europe, the event offers an impressive array of prestigious classes, including FEI International Eventing, British Eventing, Showjumping, Pony Club Games, Native Breed Showing and more.”
